2011 CBE MEN'S PRO LEAGUE RECAPS
CBE PRO LEAGUE 2011 SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIP
A new champion has been crowned in the CBE Men’s Pro League. Da Squad prevailed over the Gym Rats 79-72 in an emotional battle. The teams traded lead changes for most of the game, but it was Da Squad’s twin towers who were just too much in the end. Jeff Graves and Stephen Green shut off all driving lanes and forced the Gym Rats to shoot from the outside. James Lake did just that as he finished with 4 threes and 15 points. The key moment in the game was a technical foul called on Chad Fleming. With his departure from the game, the Gym Rats could not operate their offense affectively. With that said, they forced key turnovers late in the game to get within 3, but Da Squad iced the game with good free throw shooting down the stretch. Monty Taylor stepped up big time for Da Squad with 22 points including 4 threes. Jeff Graves shined all night as he out muscled everyone in the post to score 23 points.
The league MVP was announced after the game and it went to Jeff Graves who dominated when his team needed him the most. Congratulations to him and Da Squad for their 2nd CBE Men’s Pro League Championship.
