McAdoo is one of basketball's greatest scoring center/forwards and a two-time All-American at Vincennes Junior College. At the University of North Carolina, he averaged 19.5 points per game. He was named All-American and MVP of the ACC tournament in 1971-72. He started his pro career as the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1973 and was a three-time NBA scoring leader and 1975 NBA MVP. His 14-year NBA career included seven teams. McAdoo scored 18,787 points and averaged 20 points or more in seven seasons. He played for two LA Lakers NBA Championship teams in 1982 and 1985.
